Responsibilities
- Perform accurate vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy procedures on patients of all ages.
- Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk check-in/check-out process efficiently to minimize wait times.
- Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure infection control protocols are followed.
- Provide patient education regarding medications, treatment plans, and preventative care.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Basic EKG certifications.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a busy healthcare setting preferred.
- Proficient in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth, Cerner).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
