Responsibilities
- Patient Preparation: Greet patients, verify demographics, and prepare them for examinations or procedures.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assistance: Assist providers during patient visits, including taking patient histories and performing basic procedures.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate medical records, file charts, and handle insurance verification.
- Infection Control: Adhere to strict hygiene protocols and infection control standards to ensure patient safety.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients and staff to ensure a smooth patient experience.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA, or CMAA) preferred.
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office setting.
- Skills: Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems and computer literacy.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Location: Ability to work in both Washington, DC and Georgia locations as needed.
