Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for examination by recording medical history, measuring vitals, and interviewing them.
- Assist providers during physical exams and minor procedures.
- Administer medications, injections, and immunizations under the direct supervision of a physician.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, including phlebotomy and EKGs.
- Maintain a clean and organized examination room, ensuring all instruments are sterilized.
- Manage patient flow, including scheduling appointments, confirming visits, and handling check-ins.
- Handle confidential patient records and billing inquiries while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong computer skills and experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication skills and a warm, professional bedside manner.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- High school diploma or GED required.
