Responsibilities
- Greet patients and prepare them for examination by escorting them to the exam room and taking vital signs.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff with medical procedures and patient care as needed.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, including phlebotomy and EKGs, with high accuracy.
- Maintain and sterilize medical instruments and equipment to ensure a safe environment.
- Manage patient records and update electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately and confidentially.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide general administrative support to the front desk.
Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current RMA, CMA, or equivalent national certification.
- Valid California State Medical Assistant license (if required by specialty).
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and medical software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- CPR/BLS certification is required.
