As a Medical Assistant at San Jose Medical Center, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality healthcare services and ensuring our patients feel comfortable and cared for from check-in to check-out.
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient intake, including recording medical history and vital signs.
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Manage and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) with precision.
- Coordinate patient appointments and follow-up care instructions.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and clinical safety standards.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
- Certification as a CMA, RMA, or NCMA is preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Proficiency with computerized medical billing and record-keeping systems.
