Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, including vital sign checks and medical history documentation
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures, injections, and specimen collection
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment for exam rooms
- Schedule appointments and handle patient communications professionally
- Perform basic laboratory tests and phlebotomy procedures
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a medical setting
- Proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional evenings
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
