Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain organized medical records
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical instruments
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate referrals and lab testing with external providers
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Indiana Medical Assistant certification (or eligibility)
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong knowledge of clinical procedures and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Background check and drug screen required
