Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures including injections, EKGs, and wound care
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient flow, appointments, and laboratory specimen processing
- Administer medications and immunizations under provider supervision
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and medical supplies
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in outpatient setting
- Active BLS/CPR certification and current California MA license
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in high-volume environment
- Spanish bilingual proficiency highly valued
