Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight monitoring.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with examinations and procedures.
- Prepare patients for exams, obtain medical histories, and explain treatment procedures.
- Manage front desk duties, including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and managing patient records.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth).
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks.
