Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, weight) and record accurate data in electronic health records (EHR).
- Greet patients, verify insurance information, and check them in for appointments in a timely manner.
- Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and minor medical procedures as directed.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring a sterile environment.
- Administer medications, injections, or vaccines under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.
- Manage front desk duties including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and processing payments.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred; graduation from an accredited program is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends, to meet patient demand.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
