Responsibilities
- Accurately measure and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, weight, height).
- Prepare examination rooms for patient visits and sterilize medical equipment.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Manage patient intake, including updating electronic health records (EHR) and insurance information.
- Provide clear instructions to patients regarding medications and follow-up care.
- Maintain a professional and welcoming front-desk presence when assisting patients.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of a Medical Assistant program is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong desire to learn and work in a clinical setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
- Willingness to adhere to all HIPAA and safety protocols.
