Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, weight) and record accurate data in electronic health records (EHR).
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting with examinations and procedures.
- Assist providers with rooming patients, charting, and specimen collection.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized environment to prevent infection and cross-contamination.
- Administer injections and medications as directed by the provider.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and manage referrals.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Active state license or permit to practice in Washington (WA) and Georgia.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and computer systems.
- Experience in a clinical setting is a plus but not mandatory for the right candidate.
