Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient intake, including recording medical history and vitals.
- Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Prepare and administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and ensure documentation is complete and up-to-date.
- Coordinate patient appointments, lab tests, and specialist referrals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized clinical environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and insurance providers to resolve inquiries.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems (Epic, AthenaHealth, etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
