Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and vital signs collection with accuracy and compassion.
- Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Prepare and maintain medical records, ensuring strict adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, EKGs, and phlebotomy as required.
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a registered nurse or provider.
- Clean and sterilize medical instruments and equipment to ensure infection control standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification as a CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong computer literacy and experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical setting.
