Responsibilities
- Patient Intake & Support: Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and prepare them for examinations.
- Clinical Duties: Assist providers with examinations, accurately record vital signs, and perform basic lab tests (e.g., EKGs, point-of-care testing).
- Administrative Tasks: Manage medical records, update patient charts in EHR systems, and handle incoming calls professionally.
- Medication Management: Prepare medications for administration under provider supervision and maintain inventory of supplies.
- Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA regulations and clinic protocols to ensure patient privacy and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA, RMA, or NCMA certification required.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Experience: 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred; new graduates with relevant internships are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) software (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth) is a strong plus.
- License: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
