Responsibilities
- Greet and check-in patients, verifying personal information and insurance details accurately.
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with attire and positioning.
- Record vital signs, medical histories, and symptoms into electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed by providers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized examination room environment.
- Coordinate laboratory tests and schedule follow-up appointments.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred.
- Certification as a CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT) is highly desirable.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a primary care or clinic setting is a plus.
- Strong computer proficiency with EHR software (Epic, AthenaHealth, etc.) is required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a high-volume, urgent care environment.
