Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs and basic patient assessments under the supervision of a physician.
- Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Administer injections, vaccines, and medications as authorized.
- Perform EKGs and basic laboratory tests.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and patient charts.
- Greet patients and manage front-desk reception duties as needed.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Valid New York State license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks.
