Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, heart rate) and prepare patients for examinations.
- Assist providers during clinical procedures, exams, and minor surgical care.
- Manage patient records, update charts, and maintain strict HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, phlebotomy, and EKGs as directed.
- Schedule appointments, verify insurance information, and manage front desk workflows.
- Administer medications and vaccinations under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Certification as a CMA, RMA, or MA (National Exam) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and computer systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients (up to 50 lbs) when necessary.
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation.
