Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Obtain vital signs, measure patients' weights and heights, and prepare them for examinations.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient charts, update medical records, and handle insurance verification with precision.
- Lab Procedures: Perform basic laboratory tests, draw blood, and prepare samples for analysis.
- Provider Assistance: Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures.
- Communication: Greet patients, answer phones, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to all health and safety protocols and sterilization procedures.
Qualifications
- Certification: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program and currently certified (CMA, RMA, or NCMA preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Skills: Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and strong computer literacy.
- Interpersonal: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
