Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, medical history reviews, and intake assessments accurately.
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting physicians and nurse practitioners.
- Assist with minor medical procedures, including injections and wound care.
- Maintain and sterilize medical instruments and equipment according to strict safety protocols.
- Manage patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and EHR systems.
- Coordinate laboratory specimen collection and processing.
- Communicate effectively with patients and medical staff to ensure a seamless experience.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on accuracy.
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation (optional, but preferred for field work).
