Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Prepare patients for examinations, assist physicians during procedures, and ensure a comfortable clinical environment.
- Vitals & Procedures: Accurately measure vital signs, administer injections, and perform basic laboratory tests (phlebotomy).
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient intake, update electronic health records (EHR) accurately, and handle insurance verification.
- Coordination: Schedule appointments, coordinate lab work, and communicate effectively with patients and referring physicians.
- Education: Provide patient education on medication, treatments, and preventative care plans.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT) certification required.
- Licensure: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
