Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors with a professional and welcoming demeanor.
- Perform vital signs, patient screenings, and basic laboratory tests accurately.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean clinical environment.
- Manage patient records, update electronic health records (EHR), and verify insurance information.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a CMA, RMA, or MA (Certified Medical Assistant) required.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with EMR systems (Epic, AthenaHealth, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Valid Kansas driver's license and reliable transportation.
