Responsibilities
- Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly, verify demographics, and prepare them for examinations.
- Clinical Support: Assist providers with patient examinations, minor procedures, and treatments.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vitals, including blood pressure, weight, and height.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient charts, update medical records, and handle insurance verification.
- Phlebotomy: Perform blood draws and administer injections as directed by physicians.
- Lab Coordination: Process and prepare lab specimens for analysis.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification required.
- Licensure: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
- Skills: Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Compliance: Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical privacy standards.
