Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and vitals (blood pressure, temperature, heart rate) accurately.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during clinical procedures.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Manage and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality.
- Assist with laboratory tasks, including specimen collection and processing.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized clinical environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- 1-3 years of clinical experience in a physician practice or clinic setting preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency with EHR systems (Epic, AthenaHealth, etc.) is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
- Valid California Medical Assistant license.
