Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals monitoring (BP, HR, Temp), and medical history documentation with high accuracy.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and minor procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently and ensure patient confidentiality.
- Coordinate laboratory tests, communicate results to patients, and facilitate referrals to specialists.
- Greet patients warmly, answer phones, and schedule appointments to optimize clinic flow.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems (Epic, Athenahealth, or similar).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical setting.
