Responsibilities
- Perform accurate vital sign measurements and thorough patient intake assessments.
- Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures to ensure patient comfort.
- Prepare and administer medications and injections as directed by licensed physicians.
- Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) with precision and strict confidentiality.
- Assist with laboratory tasks, including blood draws and specimen collection.
- Ensure examination rooms are cleaned, sanitized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Communicate effectively with patients to answer questions and provide post-care instructions.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and basic anatomy.
- Proficient in electronic health record systems (EHR) such as Epic or AthenaHealth.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
