Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient intake, vital signs, and medical history documentation.
- Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and maintain exam rooms to strict hygiene standards.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens and perform point-of-care testing.
- Fax, file, and manage electronic health records (EHR) with 100% accuracy.
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient education regarding treatment plans.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients or equipment as needed.
- Professional demeanor with a strong commitment to patient confidentiality.
