Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Vitals & Triage: Measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, weight, and height.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, verify insurance information, and update electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
- Laboratory: Collect and process lab specimens, including blood draws and urine analysis, following strict safety protocols.
- Scheduling: Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and follow-up visits efficiently.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients regarding prescriptions, test results, and aftercare instructions.
- Compliance: Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized clinical environment while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in a clinical setting is highly desirable; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Location: Must reside in or willing to commute to Memphis, TN.
- Skills: Proficiency with electronic medical records (EHR) software and strong computer literacy.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
