Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Accurately document patient medical histories and vital signs
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic laboratory tests
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems efficiently
- Schedule appointments and handle patient communications
- Maintain sterile exam rooms and medical equipment
Qualifications
- Graduate from accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Arizona Medical Assistant certification (AAMA or AMT)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Background check and drug screening required
