Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital signs measurements, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Prepare patients for consultation by reviewing medical history and current concerns.
- Manage patient intake and check-in processes, ensuring accurate data entry into Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing in accordance with strict safety protocols.
- Provide patient education on medication administration and preventative health measures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile environment to ensure patient safety and clinic compliance.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a clinical or medical office setting preferred (1+ years).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
