In this role, you will serve as the bridge between our patients and clinical providers, ensuring seamless operations during our critical evening hours. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced setting and is passionate about improving patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Assist providers during examinations, minor procedures, and patient rounds.
- Prepare and administer medications and injections following strict safety protocols.
- Maintain and update patient charts using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Perform phlebotomy duties and assist with basic laboratory tests.
- Greet patients and families with empathy, answering questions and addressing concerns.
- Ensure the clinical environment is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Basic EKG certification.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a hospital or urgent care facility.
- Must be available to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient privacy (HIPAA compliance).
