Responsibilities
- Conduct patient intake assessments and accurately record vital signs, medical histories, and symptoms.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during night rounds and clinical procedures.
- Perform venipuncture, blood draws, and administer injections under strict medical protocols.
- Manage and maintain patient charts in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
- Provide clear instructions to patients regarding medication and follow-up care.
- Handle patient inquiries and triage during the night shift.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital or urgent care setting.
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EHR) software (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
