Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Perform patient intake, vitals monitoring, and initial triage to ensure accurate medical records.
- Procedures: Assist providers with basic clinical procedures, including phlebotomy, EKGs, and injections as directed.
- Lab Management: Process and log laboratory specimens accurately and efficiently during the night shift.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient check-in/out processes, verify insurance information, and update electronic health records (EHR).
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, and nursing staff to facilitate continuity of care.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all health and safety protocols and infection control measures.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA, RMA, or Medical Assistant certification from an accredited institution is required.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification (if applicable to facility policy).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical medical setting preferred.
- Schedule: Must be available to work rotating night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Skills: Proficiency in computerized charting systems and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Professionalism: Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
