Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and diagnostic tests
- Administer medications, injections, and vaccinations under provider supervision
- Perform vital sign monitoring, EKGs, and basic laboratory testing
- Manage patient records, maintain electronic health systems, and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain clinical supply inventory
- Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
- Coordinate with nursing staff to ensure seamless patient flow and care continuity
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- BLS/CPR certification with ability to obtain ACLS within 90 days
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to de-escalate patient situations
- Flexibility to cover weekends and holidays as needed
