Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures in the emergency department
- Manage patient records using Epic EHR system with strict HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient flow and triage during overnight hours
- Prepare and sterilize medical equipment and exam rooms
- Administer vaccines and provide patient education materials
- Handle laboratory specimen processing and quality control
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in hospital or urgent care setting
- BLS/CPR certification and ACLS preferred
- Proficiency with electronic health records (Epic experience preferred)
- Strong phlebotomy skills and venipuncture experience
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
- Excellent communication skills and cultural competency
- Flexibility to cover variable shifts and holidays
