Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures including patient examinations, injections, and wound care
- Accurately document patient information in EHR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical equipment following OSHA protocols
- Perform vital sign checks and collect laboratory specimens for analysis
- Manage patient flow during peak hours while ensuring exceptional service quality
- Administer medications and treatments under physician supervision
- Coordinate patient education materials and discharge instructions
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in fast-paced healthcare environment
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification with ability to maintain
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to multitask effectively during high-volume periods
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Flexibility to work rotating night shifts (7pm-7am)
