Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records in EHR systems
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment
- Administer medications and injections under physician supervision
- Triage patient calls and respond to urgent concerns
- Coordinate with night nursing staff for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- 1+ years clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
