Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and point-of-care testing during overnight hours
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain sterile equipment for emergency procedures
- Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EHR system
- Assist providers with minor surgical procedures and wound care
- Triage urgent patient calls and coordinate with on-call physicians
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and medications
- Ensure HIPAA compliance during all patient interactions
Qualifications
- Active Colorado Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in acute care setting
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Proficiency with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts (7pm-7am)
- Strong attention to detail in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift 25+ lbs
