Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital sign monitoring, EKGs, and specimen collection
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Administer medications under physician supervision per hospital protocols
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure smooth transitions between shifts
- Maintain sterile exam environments and inventory of medical supplies
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in hospital or urgent care setting
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and emergencies
