Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient intake assessments and vital sign monitoring during overnight hours
- Administer medications and treatments per physician protocols with precision
- Execute diagnostic procedures including EKGs, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing
- Maintain meticulous electronic health records ensuring HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate seamless patient flow between examination rooms and treatment areas
- Prepare examination rooms and medical supplies for next-day operations
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism and established protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize overnight care delivery
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in fast-paced medical environment
- Proven proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Advanced certification in phlebotomy or EKG technology
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night shifts
- Exceptional communication skills for overnight patient interactions
- Flexibility to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
- BLS/CPR certification with current renewal date
