Job Summary
The Medical Assistant will perform a variety of clinical and administrative duties to ensure our patients have a positive experience. You will work closely with our nursing staff and providers to maintain continuity of care throughout the night.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals assessment, and history taking with precision and empathy.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and minor medical interventions.
- Draw blood samples, administer injections, and prepare lab specimens for processing.
- Manage and maintain patient charts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation in the EHR system.
- Assist with infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment.
- Coordinate patient follow-up care and communicate test results to patients as directed.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (CMA, RMA, or MA equivalent).
- Certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience, preferably in a hospital or urgent care setting.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
