Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, measurements, and screenings with precision and attention to detail.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during patient examinations and procedures.
- Manage patient records, update electronic health records (EHR), and ensure data accuracy.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain a clean, safe environment.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by qualified healthcare providers.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Handle front desk duties including scheduling appointments and answering phone inquiries.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or medical office setting.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong computer proficiency with experience in EMR/EHR systems preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
- Valid Illinois driver's license and reliable transportation.
