Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals assessment, and prepare patients for examinations by providers.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with procedures and clinical duties.
- Collect blood samples and prepare specimens for lab analysis accurately and efficiently.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Maintain and update patient medical records and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association required.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a fast-paced urgent care or hospital.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively during the night shift.
