Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and vaccinations per physician orders
- Monitor vital signs and document patient progress in electronic health records
- Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal care coordination
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Florida (or compact state with immediate FL licensure)
- BSN preferred; ADN with 2+ years of acute care experience considered
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS/NRP preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in acute care or specialty unit
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
