Responsibilities
- Perform routine patient intake assessments, including measuring vital signs and recording medical history.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and minor procedures in a calm, efficient manner.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all medical supplies and equipment are properly sterilized and stocked.
- Draw blood and administer injections, following strict safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
- Maintain accurate, confidential patient records using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Communicate clearly with patients and their families to ensure a welcoming and comfortable experience.
- Handle pharmacy refill requests and coordinate laboratory tests as directed.
Qualifications
- Current Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is required.
- CPR/BLS Certification (American Heart Association) must be current.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is highly preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions during the night shift.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as needed.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
