Responsibilities
- Perform accurate vital signs, height, weight, and temperature measurements on patients.
- Prepare patients for examination by the provider, ensuring privacy and comfort.
- Administer injections, immunizations, and medications as ordered by physicians.
- Assist providers with procedures, phlebotomy, and basic lab specimen collection.
- Update and maintain accurate medical records and documentation in the EMR system.
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional manner and manage front desk reception duties as needed.
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program; CMA or RMA certification preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office or hospital setting.
- Must be available to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and staff.
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Ability to lift and move patients weighing up to 50 lbs as required.
