Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, and patient preparation
- Assist providers with examinations, injections, and minor procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Handle inventory, sterilization, and maintenance of medical equipment
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up communications with specialists
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict patient privacy standards
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory or hospital setting
- BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, eClinicalWorks preferred)
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexible availability for rotating night shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
