Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital signs, EKGs, and basic laboratory tests under physician supervision.
- Assist with patient intake, medical record updates, and electronic health record (EHR) management.
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed by licensed providers, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Provide compassionate patient education and support to ensure a comfortable experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized clinical environment in accordance with infection control standards.
- Collaborate effectively with the night shift nursing and clinical staff to ensure seamless patient transitions.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or urgent care setting preferred.
- Strong proficiency in EMR/EHR software systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations during night shifts.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to patient confidentiality.
