Responsibilities
- Conduct patient intakes, including medical history reviews and vital sign measurements.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as EKGs and phlebotomy, following strict protocols.
- Manage medication administration and inventory control for the night shift unit.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with patients and nursing staff regarding care plans.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a hospital or urgent care environment.
- Strong proficiency in electronic health record systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions during night hours.
- Valid BLS and NRP certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
