Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals checks, and medical histories accurately.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff with examinations and procedures.
- Prepare and administer injections, medications, and immunizations as directed.
- Draw blood samples (phlebotomy) and process laboratory specimens.
- Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) with precision.
- Ensure the examination rooms are clean, stocked, and sanitized.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding test results and follow-up care.
Qualifications
- Certification or diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and Phlebotomy certification required.
- Valid California Medical Assistant license.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts and handle high-pressure situations.
